WDWS 1400-AM sure is. The Champaign radio station — part of News-Gazette Media — will again carry Illinois baseball games this season. Dan Hartleb's team opens Feb. 15 against Georgetown in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The team also has early trips to Boca Raton, Fla.; Conway, S.C.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and Phoenix.
The home opener is March 15 against Southern Illinois.
Dave Loane returns for his 31st year as Voice of the Illini.
"I love being a part of the Illinois baseball program," Loane said. "Itch (Jones) has treated me so well, and Danny is the best.
