QUEENS, N.Y. — Jeremiah Tilmon finished a point shy of a double-double, scoring in multiple ways on and off the block, but it was another 2017 Illinois recruiting target that got La Lumiere (Ind.) into the semifinals of the Dick’s Sporting Goods High School Nationals for the first time.
Brian Bowen used a ball screen from Texas-bound James Banks to get in the lane and finished through contact at the rim to give La Lumiere a one-point lead it held with a defensive stop at the other end for a 60-59 victory against St. Benedict’s (N.J.) on Thursday at Christ the King High School.
