“Tom, what happens to their houses when an Illini coach leaves suddenly, a la (Tim) Beckman, (Bill) Self, (Lon) Kruger and the like. Surely the family doesn’t come back to host open houses, I can’t imagine. Does the university sell it for them? I imagine mansions like that take awhile — I’d love to know what some of these guys’ houses went for and how long it took to sell. I think Beckman lives in Urbana.
