Former Illinois point guard Te’Jon Lucas announce he will be transferring to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Tuesday afternoon.
Lucas started 34 games and appeared in 60 total games over two years in Champaign. A native of Milwaukee, Lucas was the only true freshman on Illinois 2016-17 team. Kipper Nichols was a redshirt freshman.
As a freshman, Lucas worked his way into the starting lineup after the declines of Jaylon Tate and Tracy Abrams. He started the first 16 games and the final three games this season, averaging 5.
