Sunday's UI roundup | Illinois dominates Purdue

CHAMPAIGN — A busy weekend schedule didn't bother Illinois.

Not in the least bit.

Playing their second match in three days — which included a six-hour roundtrip bus ride to and from Bloomington, Ind., not to mention inclement weather — the seventh-ranked Illini completed a sweep of Hoosier State opponents with a 5-2 victory over Purdue on Sunday at Atkins Tennis Center.

Two days after a win at Indiana, Illinois (12-5, 3-0 Big Ten) recorded its 100th all-time win over the Boilermakers (8-9, 0-2).

A new pairing of sophomores Zeke Clark and Noe Khlif got the Illini off to a fast start with a 6-1 victory, as Illinois eventually clinched the doubles point.
