Spring recruiting is now underway. Here’s who our Illini beat writer would prioritize in the 2020 class, even if they’re a long shot:
1. Adam Miller, Morgan Park
The last Mustangs’ point guard to sign with Illinois worked out pretty well, and keeping the best player in the state home is still a good thing for the Illini.
2. Jalen Johnson, Nicolet (Wis.)
Odds are the No. 3 player in the class is headed to a blue blood. Think Duke. But Johnson’s combination of size, skill and athleticism is worth pursuing.
