CHAMPAIGN — Illinois concluded its spring offseason Saturday with a six-set scrimmage against Wisconsin at Huff Hall.
Up next for the Illini is a break, one coach Kevin Hambly said his players deserve following high-volume practice after high-volume practice.
Hambly and the Illinois coaching staff are hands-off now. They can’t be in the gym with the team until preseason workouts for the 2016 campaign begin in August.
But that hasn’t kept the Illini from planning something for themselves.
“A few of us are already talking about going to the ARC this next week and getting some reps in,” freshman outside hitter Beth Prince said.
