It was a breakout performance for Kipper Nichols, who entered the contest scoreless since the Michigan game back in January. His 18 point performance off the bench was assisted by the double digit scoring totals from Ayo Dosunmu and Trent Frazier.
Earning just their third conference win in the 2018-2019 season, the Illini jumped out to a 7-0 run to start the game. Despite Nebraska trying to keep pace, Illinois would amass a 14 point lead with a little over two minutes left in the game.
