Former Illini golfer D.A. Points and renowned actor/comedian Bill Murray will play together in the John Deere Classic Pro-Am on July 8 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis.
The duo teammed up to win the 2011 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where Points also won the tournament for his first PGA victory.
"The John Deere Classic is thrilled that Bill Murray will be playing in our pro-am with D.A., who has been a great supporter of the tournament over the years," said Clair Peterson, the John Deere Classic tournament director.
Points is among a number of former Illini expected in the field at the JDC, which will take place July 9-12 near the Quad Cities.
