CHICAGO — Illinois has been after an infusion of talent at point guard the past three seasons.
But only misses stacked up for the Illini. Quentin Snider decommitted to join hometown Louisville in the Class of 2014. The Class of 2015 yielded several more close recruitments, but still misses, in Jalen Brunson to Villanova, Jawun Evans to Oklahoma State and Marcus LoVett Jr. to St. John’s.
Illinois found its point guard in the Class of 2016, signing Milwaukee Washington’s Te’Jon Lucas in November.
Now the Illini are apparently trying to double down after reigniting their recruitment of Illinois Mr.
