CHAMPAIGN — Kam’s, the iconic Campustown watering hole, has a fresh look.
Crisp orange and blue paint inside and out as well as five new flat screen TVs to go along with the dozen or so already in place will greet bar-goers in town for the Illinois football team’s opener Saturday against Murray State.
“I definitely wanted to spruce our place up a bit,” owner Eric Meyer said.
There’s a renewed excitement surrounding the Illinois football program, the buzz percolating since March 7 when Lovie Smith was introduced as the 25th coach in Illini history.
Not long until this place fills up.
