A little more than three weeks after Josh Whitman hired Lovie Smith to become the 25th Illinois football coach, Smith will address the media as a whole for the second time since he took the job.
All nine of Smith's assistant coaches are slated to be in attendance as well as the former Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach filled out his coaching staff in less than three weeks.
All but one assistant, defensive line coach Mike Phair, was with the Illini for the 2015 season. Another, offensive line coach Luke Butkus, is in his second coaching stint at Illinois following his playing career with the Illini.
