SAVOY — Kendall Gill could hardly believe his annual golf outing in support of Cunningham Children’s Home teed off for its 27th year Monday afternoon at the University of Illinois Orange Course. That it’s lasted this long, so many years after his playing days at Illinois ended, meant a lot to the former Flyin’ Illini.
“I had no idea that this thing would last 27 years, but it’s a great cause,” said Gill, who attended the event with his wife, Wendy, and sons Phoenix and Kota. “It’s a way of us giving back to the Cunningham Children’s Home.
