Jeff George Jr. announced via Twitter on Wednesday he will be transferring from Illinois and pursuing his final two years of NCAA eligibility elsewhere.

George started five games at quarterback for Illinois in 2017. He completed 94 passes for 1,273 and seven touchdowns. He started five games as a redshirt freshman in 2016 after redshirting the 2015 season.
