The State Journal-Register: Ferguson, Fejedelem take top Illini football awards
Seniors Josh Ferguson, Clayton Fejedelem, V’Angelo Bentley, Jihad Ward and Chris Boles all took home awards Sunday at the University of Illinois’ 114th annual football banquet.
Ferguson was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player after averaging 5.5 yards per carry for an Illini team that went 5-7 overall and 2-6 in the Big Ten Conference. The running back led Illinois with 988 all-purpose yards despite missing three games with a shoulder injury, and he was second on the team in rushing with 708 yards.
