Here’s the news fans have been waiting for.

As the state of Illinois moves into Phase Five of its Restore Illinois plan, the University of Illinois on Friday announced all of its venues will operate at 100% capacity for the 2021-22 sports season.

That means all Illinois Football games, including Aug. 28 against Nebraska, will have every seat for sale.

Tickets for Illinois Football go on sale on Friday.

“We are excited to be the first college football kickoff at 100% capacity in nearly 20 months,” said head coach Bret Bielema in a statement. “The combination of being the first college football game of the season and being at full capacity will allow our fans to show the country that Memorial Stadium is an electric environment.
