Sparks is a 6-foot-7, 301-pound offensive tackle from North Fort Myers High School and resides in North Fort Myers, Florida. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 1952 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 161 offensive tackle in the nation. He is also the No. 265 player in the state of Florida.
Bolstering the offensive line was clearly a goal for the Illinois coaching staff. Without a great offensive line, nothing else matters. That is why getting Sparks is huge. He can come in and provide amazing depth for the program.
