Many recruits have mentioned Illinois as one of the teams they are keeping an eye on. But, one Texas player has the Illini high on his list.
Defensive end Noah Jones has talked about Illinois being one of his top schools right now.
In an interview with Gabe Brooks of Scout, Jones talks about the high praise defensive line coach, Mike Phair, has given him.
“He says I play just like one of his former players, Jacquies Smith, who plays for the Buccaneers. He says I play with a good motor,” said Jones, who would move around the line for the Illini.
