The Illini had five commits up to this point, all being on the offensive side of the ball. It was time to get a defensive player to commit.
Linebacker Marc Mondesir decided he would end his recruitment and commit to the Illini last night.
Mondesir is listed as an outside linebacker. He is from St. Rita High School in Chicago, Illinois. While he isn’t ranked nationally, I think this is going to be a sneaky pickup for the Illini.
