Lovie Smith has been an active recruiter since taking over earlier this year. He needed to hit the recruiting trail hard and that is exactly what he has accomplished so far.
I expect this hard word to pay off down the road and it already has started to pay off slightly.
The Illini have snagged three good players for the class of 2017 and I think there are more to come shortly. Hopefully, Lovie can continue dominating the recruiting landscape.
