The Illini have multiple recruits coming up from future classes. A lot of relationships are being built when there are big recruiting weekends like this one that is coming up. Every area is a focus, but the wide receiver corps is an area that is a need for every class. That is why Stephon Johnson is one of the recruits coming up to watch the Illinois vs. Northwestern game.
Johnson is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver from Heights High School in Houston, Texas. He isn’t rated or ranked right now because he is from the class of 2022, but Illinois does see enough in this kid to have him take an unofficial visit.
