It was announced last night via Twitter that Illinois is in the top five for talented running Maleek Wiliams.
Williams is a 3-star running back out of Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Florida. He is ranked as the 1147th best player in the class of 2017 and the 170th best player in the state of Florida.
The recruitment of Williams has been tough. He had 13 scholarship offers but now has narrowed that list down to just five programs.
Those five programs include Illinois, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, and USF in order of who Williams likes the most right now.
