The class of 2017 for the Illini had an addition about two weeks ago when quarterback Cameron Thomas decided to commit and help Illinois get back to the glory days.
But, Thomas is going to need some help in protection if he wants to be the best quarterback he can be. This is where the commitment of Vederian Lowe comes into play.
Lowe committed to Illinois yesterday. He is the fifth Illinois commitment in the class of 2017 and a big part of the future.
