Coleman is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound weak-side defensive end from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne, Florida. He isn’t rated or ranked by the recruiting sites, but this was a good pickup for a program that needed depth for the future.
There were a multitude of other programs Coleman could have picked instead of the Illini, but he decided to make Champaign his home. He explained a little more to the Writing Illini on why he decided on Illinois.
“I just loved everything about it from the coaching staff to the city itself,” said Coleman, “felt like home.
