According to Erich Fisher of Rivals, and other media outlets, Illinois cornerback Marquez Beason was carted off the field today with what looks to be a knee injury. He reportedly came back to practice sporting a knee brace and crutches. He did finish watching the entire practice.
In a latter tweet by Fisher, head coach Lovie Smith also said of the knee injury that Beason didn’t finish practice, so that is concerning. It was a routine play.
When I first saw these tweets, I had to look away and then look back to make sure I was reading this right and not just imagining things.
