Illinois needs more wide receiver help. This hasn’t been a secret for the past decade. There have been a few solid pass catchers but they either went down with injuries every season or they didn’t have a quarterback to throw them the ball. Well, the Illini have a solid quarterback coming in and now they need some good hands on the outside. That is where Ger-Cari Caldwell comes into play.
Caldwell is a 6-foot-4, 192-pound wide receiver from Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He isn’t rated or ranked by the recruiting sites, but he is one of those recruits who have a ton of potential and is flying under the radar.
