Illinois football still has the interim tag on fill-in head coach Bill Cubit. Cubit has done a great job thus far, but you always have to look at other options.
Recently it was announced that the Miami Hurricanes have fired their head coach, Al Golden. Golden had been under some extreme scrutiny for pretty much his entire tenure with the Hurricanes.
There was a lot of blame for this scrutiny. One thing to blame was Golden himself. The best record he had with the Hurricanes was 9-4 and he failed to win a bowl game.
