There are smatterings of Illinois sophomores who have taken redshirts in the past and are redshirt sophomores. Some of the sophomores are true sophomores entering their second year with the program. Either way, these players are going to be important pieces for the program in 2019.
Normally, if Luke Ford was eligible, he would be on this list. He transferred in from Georgia but wasn’t granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA. #FreeLukeFord. This kid is a superstar and will be on this list next season when he is able to suit up for the Orange and Blue.
There are also some names that I left off this list who are going to have a big impact on the team.
