Having a stable core group of senior leaders is important to any team. These players have put the time, sweat and energy into this program or the college game in general. They know what to do and how to go about each day as a college football player.
These talented upperclassmen are a great example of what to do on and off the football field. Illinois finally has some of these talented seniors. Yes, there have been a few in the past, but the Illini have been extremely young since Lovie Smith took over the program. To have some seniors on the team to help lead this program to victories is nice to see.
