On Thursday, the Illini offered a scholarship to up-and-coming athlete Marcus Clarke. He has great speed and is someone who can play on both sides of the ball in 2020. Just yesterday, the Illini followed that offer up with one to his teammate Daniel Edwards.
Edwards is a 5-foot-11, 160-pound cornerback from Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Florida. He isn’t rated or ranked by 247Sports, but the class of 2021 is still far down the road, so there is time for him to start bringing in the offers.
As of right now, it looks like Illinois is Edwards’ only scholarship offer.
