The Illini have been targeting the Lone Star State for quite some time now. One of the biggest recruiters for the Orange and Blue down in Texas has been wide receivers coach, Andrew Hayes-Stoker. He has been a wizard down there when it comes to recruiting. One of the biggest gets for the Illini from the state of Texas, since the current regime has been in place, is Marquez Beason.
Beason is entering the Illinois program from the class of 2019. He is going to come in and be an impact starting defensive back from day one. He isn’t the only Beason on the radar of the Illini program, though.
