Illinois already has 3-star shooting guard Javon Pickett signed up for 2017. He should provide nice depth behind Jalen Coleman-Lands.
The other player committed for 2017 is Da’Monte Williams. He is a combo guard and I lean more towards him ending up being a point guard with the Illini.
Williams is the highest rated recruit in the class for Illinois right now. He is a 4-star recruit that is ranked as the 54th best player in the class of 2017.
Entering the 2017-18 season, Illinois is going to need that depth at point guard that Williams would bring.
