Samson Ruzhentsev announced via Twitter on Thursday that he has received a scholarship offer from the University of Illinois. This is a solid offer by the Illini because now they are one of the early programs to get in on Ruzhentsev’s recruitment.
Ruzhentsev is a 6-foot-6, 182-pound small forward from Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He isn’t rated or ranked right now, but I assume that is due to the entire class of 2020 not being ranked yet.
The scholarship offers have started to roll in for Ruzhentsev. In addition to Illinois, he now has offers from both Auburn and Georgia Tech.
