Brad Underwood and the Illini coaching staff managed to land a top 20 recruiting class in 2020. This is a big deal because we snagged the top in-state recruit and built around him with solid players. But the class of 2021 is where things are either going to go our way or we could end up struggling.
Luke Goode is the first player to sign up for the class of 2021. He is a top 100 shooting guard who has lights out shooting ability. Goode already committing to the program gives other recruits the green light to take a look at us.
