Starting this season we did not know what to expect from this Illini team. They had some scattered talent but were also dealing with a barrage of injuries.
Through the first nine games it is hard-pressed to find one Illinois fan that thinks the Illini haven’t struggled. They are now 4-5 on the season but have some winnable games in the near future.
Head coach John Groce is clearly on the hot seat and that has been previously discussed many times. But, with that being said, he is trying out different lineups to see if he can get a spark out of this team.
