Jeff Borzello of ESPN announced that Curbelo is no longer taking an official visit this weekend to Oregon. This is absolutely huge news for both Illinois and Miami.
Curbelo is a 6-foot, 155-pound point guard from Long Island Lutheran High School in New York. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 55 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 9 point guard in the nation. He is also the No. 1 point guard to come out of Puerto Rico, where Curbelo hails from.
So, the optics of this looks like Illinois and Miami are the two teams vying for Curbelo right now.
