Brad Underwood and the Illini coaching staff hit the recruiting trail, and one of their latest offers is to Chet Holmgren. He announced via Twitter on Monday that he had received an offer from the University of Illinois.
Holmgren is a 6-foot-11, 190-pound center from Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 53 player in the class of 2021 and the No. 9 center in the nation. He is also the No. 3 player in the state of Minnesota as well.
The full rankings for the class of 2021 haven’t come out yet, but Holmgren seems to be lurking somewhere in the top 150 when the final rankings are released.
