The Illini finished with one of the worst regular season records in school history. They only won 13 games and missed the postseason for the third consecutive season.
But, despite the record, were the Illini that bad?
I know the easy answer to this question is, yes. They were defeated 103-69 and 74-47 in both the games they played against Indiana this past year.
Even though they were pounded by the Hoosiers, among other teams, this past season could have looked better.
Illinois was in contention in many games. If you looked at the score with five minutes left in the game the Illini could change the fortune of three games this past season.
