Illinois now moves to 4-10 on the season and 0-3 in Big Ten play. They went into the game against the Hoosiers hoping to come away with a win. For a while, the Illini were giving hope to the fanbase, though.
The Illini started the game hot. Just about halfway through the first half, Da’Monte Williams hit a three-pointer to increase the lead to 23-13. The Hoosiers fought back but Illinois still had an eight-point lead with 5:31 to go in the first half, 27-19. Indiana would then go on a 13-5 run to tie the game up heading into the halftime locker room.
