Illinois adds Tim Anderson as assistant coach

Brad Underwood is putting the final touches on his new staff after losing two of his assistants to Kentucky earlier this offseason.

Illinois announced Friday afternoon that Tim Anderson, a Chicago native who spent the past four seasons at DePaul, will be joining the Illini’s staff later this month.

“Tim is the complete package. He has expertise in every area to benefit our players and our program,” Underwood said in a statement. “He is without question an ‘Every Day Guy’ who is the perfect addition to our staff.”

Before working at DePaul, Anderson led Ground Zero Training in Chicago, which prepares college players for the NBA Draft.
