Illini stopped cold in 15th straight loss to Badgers

MADISON, Wis. — Ethan Happ sat on the Wisconsin bench for the final 3 1 / 2 minutes of Monday night's game. The No. 22 Badgers couldn't play their best player — a legitimate Big Ten Player of the Year candidate — in crunch time.

Illinois had frustrated Happ into another poor performance. His six points Monday were just the second time he finished in single digits this season.

The other?

Last month against the Illini.

But shutting down Happ again wasn't good enough for Illinois.

This time it was a Brad Davison-Khalil Iverson combination that capitalized on some late Illini mistakes to pull off a 64-58 victory in front of a Kohl Center crowd of 17,287 dotted with just a smattering of orange-clad Illinois fans.
