CHAMPAIGN — Brad Underwood believes that Illinois can have success shooting the ball. The first 10 games of Big Ten play, though, have featured more of a mixed bag for the Illini in that regard.
Heading into Sunday’s 11 a.m. tip at Ohio State, Illinois ranks second in the Big Ten in two-point field goal percentage. That 53.9 percent mark is buoyed by Greg Eboigbodin’s emergence (20 of 27 from the field) and, in a larger sample size, Leron Black ranking seventh in the conference in league games at 59.8 percent.
Get the ball further away from the basket, and those percentages drop significantly in Big Ten play.
