CHAMPAIGN — New Illinois women's basketball coach Nancy Fahey will coach her first game in State Farm Center on Nov. 10.
That's when the Illini open the 2017-18 season against Fort Wayne, marking Fahey's first game leading Illinois.
The Illini's 30-game regular season schedule was unveiled on Wednesday, with Illinois hosting eight nonconference home games and the Big Ten season starting on Dec. 28 at defending Big Ten champion Maryland.
Illinois will host in-state foes Chicago State (Nov. 15), Bradley (Nov. 18) and Western Illinois (Nov. 21) before heading to Albuquerque, N.M., for the New Mexico Thanksgiving Tournament that runs Nov.
