KOHLER, Wis. — A day after a less-than-stellar start, Mike Small’s Illinois golf team returned to form Tuesday.
The Illini are 4 under par in the NCAA Kohler Regional, moving into second place in the 54-hole event.
“It was a good day. It was a solid day,” Small said. “We hit a good standard. We got off to a good start, which we needed to do.
“We were more committed to what we were doing (Tuesday) and we played the par 5s a lot better, which I liked.”
The second-ranked Illini trail Florida by 7 shots.
