Former Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Brian Hightower committed to Illinois back in April, while wideout Khmari Thompson transferred in from the Missouri Tigers this summer.
Hightower, a former four-star prospect in 2018, had received scholarship offers from power five programs including Alabama, Clemson, USC, Florida, Michigan & Ohio State.
