TJ Holyfield gave Illinois and coach Brad Underwood his last official visit.
But the graduate transfer from Stephen F. Austin, who signed with Underwood and played his first season of college basketball when Underwood was in charge of the Lumberjacks, committed to Texas Tech on Saturday afternoon.
The 6-foot-8, 227-pound forward announced shortly after the season ended he would transfer for his final season of eligibility and then whittled that list down to Illinois, Kansas and Texas Tech before picking the national runner-ups from this past season with a note on his Twitter account.
