Hambly rounds out coaching staff

CHAMPAIGN — Kevin Hambly had a plan and the financial wherewithal from the Illinois adminstration to pull it off when he rebuilt his entire coaching staff this offseason.

Hambly was interested in bringing in experienced assistants. He got it, first hiring former North Carolina assistant and Dartmouth head coach Erin Lindsey in February. Then he added Jenni Bolduc, with six years experience as an assistant, as director of operations later that month.

Hambly rounded out his staff Tuesday with the announcement of Jason Mansfield’s hire. Mansfield not only spent the last 14 seasons at Stanford — the last 12 as a full-time assistant — but was also the head coach from 2000-13 at Vision Volleyball Club, one of the top club programs in the country.
