Groce talks 'fresh start'

CHAMPAIGN — There was little about the 2015-16 Illinois men’s basketball season that could have been called typical.

Darius Paul was dismissed from the team before the fall semester even started after being arrested during the team’s preseason trip to France.

One hundred total games were missed by seven players combined because of injury, illness and a birth.

A late season arrest and two more in the week following the end of the season led to a reinstatement and suspension for Leron Black, Jaylon Tate’s reinstatement following charges against him being dropped and Kendrick Nunn’s dismissal from the team.
