Four-star Illini target Terrence Shannon Jr. commits to DePaul

Brad Underwood’s search for his first 2019 commit will continue.

Small forward Terrence Shannon Jr. committed to DePaul on Sunday via Twitter, after including Illinois in his final four schools. Florida State and Maryland were also included in his final four.

Shannon just graduated from Lincoln Park in Chicago, and reclassified from the 2018 class to 2019, planning to take a prep year at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. At 6-foot-6 and 185 pounds, Shannon is a top-100 prospect, according to 247, as well as one of the top players in the state of Illinois.

Shannon’s commitment would have softened the blow of Kahlil Whitney’s spurning of Illinois for Kentucky last week.
