Four downs: Former Illini linebacker Danny Clark

Illinois football beat writer Bob Asmussen caught up with former Illini linebacker Danny Clark, a four-year starter in the 1990s, who stands eighth on the school's career tackles list. He had a monster game in Illinois' 1999 comeback win at Michigan, recording 12 tackles against Tom Brady's offense. Clark, a seventh-round pick in the 2000 draft, spent 12 seasons in the NFL with the Jaguars, Raiders, Saints, Texans and Giants. Now 42, Clark lives in Houston with his wife Tammy and daughters Skyler (15), Dallas (7) and Denver (4). Clark is an associate minister at the Fort Bend Church in Sugar Land, Texas.
